Is Rihanna suffering from the fact that she is an import? We are suffering as Americans and when that happens we tend to become very protective of our own. Could it be that the major labels are so stuck in the way it used to be? Can you tell me why as a major record label you would still be trying to sell albums if the music-buying public don't want them or are not buying them?

If Rihanna can only sell singles one after the next in large numbers, why not sell the singles and make your money one at a time? People today want to buy singles for their iPods and since music is for the people, give the people what they want. The record labels should take their head out of their asses and get up to the times.

Naturally, Rihanna will be wondering about her money if she's not receiving statements on her account monthly. Rihanna may not be an American but she's no fool, she's smart and well educated so she can understand the numbers, if they are presented to her. Also, if SRP has to spend Rihanna's money to promote her songs and pay for videos that support these songs - why not involve Rihanna in the business discussion so she's made aware of what she faces.

I'm a huge Rihanna fan and wish her well and I hope that someone in her team will realize that she's smart enough to be taken seriously in her business management. Def Jam seems to like to drop the ball on a lot of artists, including some now famous rappers so this comes as no surprise to me.
